I'm gearing myself up to do a gearbox oil change pretty soon and just wanted to ask what plugs are used for the drain and re-fill plug on a 2006 VRS BLT engine'd fabia?

mines an asz but it was a m16 security spline 

Can anyone show me where this is? Had a little look today under low light and couldn't see any apparent filling plug!

yeah for fill and drain and on mine both plugs were pretty obvious theyre about 20mm in diameter ?? dont have a photo though sorry :(

Borrowed this picture from a Golf, but it's the same.

 

Filler hole is the one with the spanner in.

Drain hole should be obvious on the bottom.

 

Filling it back up is made far easier by filling from the engine bay with a bit of pipe and a funnel. Otherwise it's pretty much impossible to get the bottle at such an angle for it to pour out.

 

You'll need an M16 Security bit for both the filler and drain plugs.
