Speakers I believe are 5 1/4" components up front.

Top selection in the menu 'select speakers for your car', go through to Skoda, Fabia 9/99-

Gives you a list of applicable speakers and adaptors front and rear for those who just want simple basic upgrades.

Of course you can. 6.5 inch speakers will fit into the woofer compartments, half inch tweeters...but keep the stock tweeters, they are excellent.
