Hello all, ive got a problem with my vrs, after start up, hot or cold, i get a blowing/chattering noise under acceleration which is really loud and annoying/embarrassing but then goes away after a few moments. Could this be anything to do with the secondary air pump?

I doubt that is secondary air pump as that only kicks in on start up for approx 50 seconds to pre heat cat.

 

post up a video if poss as could be a number of things ranging from charcoal canister, Exhaust/Turbo manifold crack or leak to worst case turbo pre failure.

Hi thanks for the reply, it would be difficult to get a video as its only really noticeable when driving. My mate who does all the mechanical work on my car said it could be the turbo manifold also, he is gonna have a look next weekend for me.

 

Really worried because ive not had the car long.
