SKODA FABIA 6Y 1.4 16V ENGINE COVER / AIRBOX / VENT HOSE

Featured Replies

I wonder if somebody can help me.  I'm looking for a vent hose for the above car and I undertand I'll have to buy the engine cover in it's entirety to get a new one as it's inside the cover.  I've found one on ebay.  On my 2002 model, the vent hose is attacked to a plastic pipe which sticks out of the engine cover just beside where the dip-stick is situated.  A rubber pipe is then attached to this and loops down to the oil separator.  On my model for sale on ebay, which has the same part no 036129607, there is no piece of plastic pipe proptruding from the engine cover.  The one on ebay is for a 2004 model.  Does anybody know why this should be the case and will the vent hose inside be the same?  I'll attach a photo of the ebay engine cover.  On the bottom right of the fourth image is where the pipe should protrude from but I think I can only must make out a hole.  Any help much appreciated or suggestions as to who might be able to help before buying or not buying this item off ebay.

It's the wrong cover, don't bother.

Edit: I'm not sure why you need the breather filter inside it, there's no hose, you can clean the filter out in yours, it's just a load of plastic stuff like a scouring pad.

Thanks for replying.  There is a hose inside which I think is called the 'vent hose'.  There's a mushroom vlave in it which I accidentally broke trying to clean this hose.  There's definitely a hose inside running across the air fliter to above the throttle body as I have mine here.  That's the part I'm after.

I finally got this part for Seat and Skoda Breakers in Oldham. They were really helpful and asked me to sent pics of the part and they went out and found one for me. So well done and thank you to them.
