Tfsi engine cover/filter removal?

Am I missing something or am I just having one of those moments?....

How does it come bloody off?

Had a quick look earlier but it baffled me so gave up......long day at work!

Pull like feck, from the back it's blooming tight careful as they break easy

Just unclip the maf the two clips on turbo pipe and the air intake off front slam panel two torx

I did pull but didn't want to do it to hard incase of hidden screws/fastenings!

The little **** will get it next time then ;)

When i did mine i put a little grease on the mounts where the cover is pushed onto them,hopefully when i next take it off it will be a bit easier!  :rofl:

I had a right ballache getting mine off (fnar), had me on one side and my dad on the other levering the bloody thing off, took about half an hour.

 

Like Mikey, I lubed up the rubber lugs before I refitted it, which will hopefully make it easier next time!

Also, one thing I forgot to mention, the lugs/holes are angled forwards slightly so you need to be tugging the cover up AND towards the front of the car.
