How much work....

Featured Replies

it seems to me that Skoda are going to be the slow member of the VAG family. Seat seem to be fetching out the sporty models.

for example the new Fabia has already been stated no VRS model, the Rapid is not Rapid either.

Sparkly, you will never keep up with Bossfox, I recon he has the next four projects at least already planned..  Look forward to seeing what's next

One car I was always curious about was the old 1.8T Polo Gti.  As a project can that engine be taken to the same heights as the Mk1 Octy vRS/Beti the Yeti versions.

If it can, at what cost do we think.  You would then have the small car with K04 thrills without doing an engine transplant

The 9n3 Polo Gti?

Doesn't that feature the same 5 speed 1.8T engine as the mk1 Octavia?

see here for one sporting a huge turbo....

and suitable huge power

yup that'll be 483bhp in a FWD Polo

Stop it.  I genuinely can't afford to play "keeping up with the Bossfox's"

I'm going to get what I can out of my Furby then may consider it

Just wait a while Sparkly.

Richard will tune it, play with it, get bored, move on, and sell it to you at a discounted rate ;)

Yes, you have to wonder where the brand is headed.

I suspect the sensible VAG section. :(

That would be the badger!

Iv always liked that polo gti. Its 150bhp standard i believe, but cant be stressed at all with that output.

Its still a fwd car though. Putting too much power in em just ruins the experience doesnt it? Iv been in a leon cupra with 300bhp, n it was wheel spinning at 80mph round corners on moist roads

interestingly although it's got an almighty top end, up to 4,000rpm and a tad over it's graph is nothing special when held up against my Fabia (red lines).  Obviously after that I'm sure all hell breaks loose but worth pointing out.

Hmm. I prefer low end torque. No good having to rev for it
