Limited iPhone audio via Bluetooth

Featured Replies

I have just taken delivery of a new Octavia 4x4 (totally cracking car, BTW) with Bolero head unit. I have paired my iPhone 4S and the phone part works fine, but on the audio side the Bolero does not seem to be able to download the details of the audio on the iPhone.

I can select tracks from the iPhone, but it is obviously less convenient than doing it on the Bolero's display. The error message that appears on the Bolero is "Bluetooth audio device; no track list available".

It is possible to control the iPhone from the Bolero but the tracks seem to be selected at random.

Any thoughts?

Sorry, should have said that the iPhone 4S is running iOS 7.0.4.

The exact functionality of bt streaming is dependent on the module although the random nature of track selection sounds odd (unless your phone music player is set to mix??)

Some modules do have the additional functionality which deals with the track info but not all. Do you know which module you have?

Interesting question. It is a brand new car so whichever module is currently being fitted from the factory. How do I discover exactly which module is installed?
