fitting tow bar to superb 2009

Featured Replies

Guys I bought a tow bar from a company online .. my question is could you fit it yourself is there much involved. Its a standard 7 pin with a bypass relay for the canbus bulb failure system

No, it´s fairly easy. However, I don´t know, how much time it would take to fit a "crappy" aftermarket system. The OEM wiring harness takes around 2 hours.

Who said it is a "crappy aftermarket system"

Because the OEM solution is not a 7 pin, and it does come with a proper box for hooking up to the cars CAN, not a by-pass relay ;) An aftermarket solution might give you electrical problems, and does not give you trailer stabilisation, bulb warnings for trailer or work with an OEM alarm.
