Spring options for lowering 4x4

Featured Replies

Hello, I have a 4x4 Octavia Mk3 2.0L diesel estate and it's ride height is rather high with approx 3" (75mm) gap front and rear, between wheel arch edge and top surface of tyre. It does not have the rough road package and the rims and tyres are the standard 16" fitments.

I'm wondering if it's possible to interchange the Octavia Mk2 springs as I see the Mk2 has similiar rear multilink suspension or perhaps even Mk3 VRS springs with this vehicle ?  Curious as to which Mk3 models utilise the multilink setup.

Unfortunately the Skoda dealer parts department was unable to offer advice as their system appears to be set up to process a specific vehicle enquiry as opposed to a general "rumage and see what might fit" catalogue. Websites such as Eibach, Bilstein etc. don't list the Mk3 4x4 version although advice from Eibach was to search under the Audi A3 (Quattro) listing. Other aftermarket sellers list plenty information and available options for the Mk1 & 2 Octavia but less on the Mk3.

I'd be grateful for any advice on possible options to significantly lower my car.

Many thanks,

Ross

Hello Stefano,

Many thanks for your reply and for taking the time to source information on possible spring options. I've checked out the link you attached and clearly H&R is the road to go down !

..time to drag the toolbox out of the cupboard. :P

Regards,

Ross
