Airtec piping problems

Featured Replies

So I have a airtec fmic and it's been fitted a week now, I looked under the car today to see if everything was okay and the pipe that comes off the turbo has been rubbing the driveshaft and made a fairly deep mark init, I was thinking my turbo needs clocking abit more, just wanted to know if anyone has had this problem and if clocking it was the right idea before I remove the turbo ect

Yeah most people with SS intercoolers have I think. I just shortened the long pipe a bit and made a bracket up to keep it away from the shaft.

You can't clock the turbo a bit more

The long horizontal boost pipe that runs to the front of the car needs shortened / moved so its pulled tighter away from the driveshaft

Just use cable ties to fasten the boost pipe out of harms way...

Worked for me until I got the two piece hard pipe kit from Darkside.
