ibiza cupra console bushes, mk1 VRS upgrade. Worthwhile?

Featured Replies

Hello, just recently I've heard a couple of people mention that fitting ibiza cupra console bushes is a good upgrade to the standard fabia VRS item.

Is this what I'm after?

could anyone share any experience of these -  Do they make a difference? and how are they to fit?  Could i do it DIY with a toolkit on the drive?

Many thanks, Matt.

Yes they make a difference

Yes they are worthwile

chassis feels stiffer but not as harsh as polly bushes

Cheaper to get em direct from Seat or TPS ;)

I got some for a very decent price on eBay last year

Pretty much what i wanted to read.

How are they to fit?  Easy enough to do on a drive with a toolkit in a morning?

Some people use a press.  My dad used swearing, a large hammer, a massive vice and a lump of steel.  He did a cracking job though.

You can forget about just 'popping' them into place.  They're a little tight.

Sorry to hijack, anyone a part number for these thanks!

Or just ring TPS and ask for Ibiza 6L Cupra lower console bushes/ front lower arm rear bushes.

everyone who sells on ebay gets them from TPS/ dealers then put money on top to create a profit.

Save money. Avoid all the middle men ;)

Coley_vrs

got them from TPS for £27 all in ;)

i linked darkside selling them for £30 a pair inc' postage.

may ask a local garage for a price for them fitted as it sounds like they are a good upgrade, but a f*** to fit.
