1.4mpi.  Top and bottom radiator hoses under pressure, but coolant level after a short drive in expansion vessel has not moved level.  Before I change the Hg again just wondering if anybody has any ideas regarding this.

You're in the wrong section!

 

The system should pressurize to about 1 bar. Once the cooling fan cuts in, most of the pressure will go.

the cooling sistem works at 1.1-1.2 bar to raise the boiling point .....so the pressure is normal,now depends how much do you have
