Just had an email from my dealer, build moved from wk8 to wk5, although he also said early Feb so assume he is mis reading a 5 for a 6.  Anyway whatever it is, a quick call to the dealer and it looks like it will slot in just nicely before our new baby is born!

 

Car is vRS TDI DSG Estate in White, DSG, black pack, Canton, Sunset and ossibly some other bits I have forgotten about.  I ordered 28 Sept 13.

 

Now I need to start thinking about cleaning up the Passat to try to sell it!!

So it should move up. 4 whole months until it even gets built. They certainly have a backlog at the factory. Depending on the number of cars being shipped then, you could be looking at another 3 weeks until you pick it up. That'll be around 5 months.

...apart from the Passat for sale, I could have written exactly the same message. E.g. same car, same timescales given by dealer and same situation (baby on the way). Ordered mine 9th Nov.
