Light on dash

Featured Replies

Hello Forum,

Have noticed this light coming on when I first switch on the ignition, it is only on for about 2/3 seconds before it resumes normal display.

It started off with the number 6.5 and now is down to 1 The warning seems to be a circle with a area, approx 1/4 shaded out but it started at 1/2

I have looked in the owners manual but there does not seem to be anything covering it?

I am due for service in 2800 miles is this some thing to do with the above

Thank you for your assistance

It's on page 17 of the manual.

It is the number of days left before you need to get the car serviced. Variable servicing is up to approx. 20,000 miles or 2 years, fixed servicing is 10,000 miles or 12 months, whichever is reached first.

As a result the display shows both mileage and time.

You have correctly identified the mileage (2,800 miles) but are out of time!

Time to get it booked in!

Thanks silver1011

For the prompt reply, now has stopped showing the circle with 1 and milage of 2800 just showing Service when switch on! Best get it booked in for service and cam belt and water pump change!

Didn't see it in manual because was looking for picture of the circle with time? But now see what you mean on page 17

Thanks again!
