Dial Display read in Km/h no matter what option!

Featured Replies

Is there any way to change this? I have been into the setup menu and in the Units section the third option is enabled; something along the lines of mpg(UK)/mi.

Despite this the digital speed (just above the trip miles and odo) still reads in Kph.

Hopefully this is my last question adjusting to the car!

Cheers.

There was a topic about this discussed earlier, the reason for the KPH in the display is because there is no KPH graduations on the speedo and legislation requires it to be there. It can be changed but you need access to VCDS to change the county setting from UK to Australia, this then will enable you to change from KPH to MPH.

Thanks, makes sense I guess. If I do get it changed to Australia via vcds, does this have any other effects?

Think I've read it can mess with your MPG readings as the gallon measurement changes, again fixable in VCDS.

When it's changed the mpg units are also changed, but you simply change these back in the maxidot.

No other difference when it has been changed, you can also change it back to kph yourself if you need to go abroad, takes about 5 seconds to change it via the maxidot.
