Just over a month in - my thoughts

Featured Replies

Car delivered 20/12.

I've now covered almost 2500 miles which is light for me - due to 10 days' holiday over Christmas.

One scare with a low coolant warning which was due to poor PDI as nothing since.

I like the quality feel - this is a very solid car.

I spent a lot of time behind the wheel (4 days out of 5 this week) and it's comfortable and a nice play to be. Seats in particular very supportive for the mileage I cover.

Fuel consumption is excellent - motorways I'm seeing low 50's which is close to 15 mpg better than my S Max. Most of my travelling is motorway so this is a huge positive.

Costs me almost £50 a month less than the old car in tax too - bonus.

Performance is superb. Plenty of grunt in normal mode. Tried sport Friday night on a B road blast home (M3 closed and I had a crap week - the worst in years) and finished a 30 minute drive shaking slightly - not as sharp as my 205 but I didn't expect it to be in the slightest. So a quick B road car too which is nice for the odd trip cross country.

Looks - it ain't no Ferrari Lusso but a really smart looking car. Race blue has grown on me too - kinda default choice but suits the car even if the wrong side of 40 to be driving something this loud lol.

Little to dislike - misting up first thing is a pain but the old car did it too. Fake exhaust is silly but I can live with it I think!!!'

Overall this car does everything I want it to - comfy, frugal, quick and smart looking. Really pleased with my choice.

Thanks Andy, great to hear your thoughts. Sounds like you have similar usage to me in that most of your life is spent on the M3, so I'm pleased to hear the mpg you have been getting so far... and also that you can have some fun to cheer yourself up when the motorway is closed! I even thinking come the summer, I might just have to slip into Sport mode, wave bye bye to the rat race and go play in the countryside on the way home!
