Jungle Green - anybody seen one in the flesh yet?

Featured Replies

So if you really want to be in (and stay in for a fair few years) the only Yeti choice is the Duracell one.

You wait... There'll be a battery of them before long.

Where's me coat?

  • I think the Jungle Green and Muscovado are the two best colours for the Yeti. I also think the Jungle will perhaps vary depending on the light - being darker under cloudy conditions and with brighter

And if you right click on the photo and get its URL address you use the square tree icon above the reply screen and paste the pic like this:

It looks fantastic!  Especially with Matterhorn wheels.

It's strange how every pic I've seen on the net of a jungle green Yeti with matterhorns has looks stunning and made me want it but this pic for some reason doesn't do it for me.

Not seen one but looks good to me, I think you must be aware the colour hue will probably change with the light...

Now this pic makes Jungle green look awesome. Problem is it aint very often that you will have a nice bright light shining up at it like this one has.

With you on that - are those Origami wheels?

Yep. Wanted them on our Yeti but was too late to change the order so ended up with annapurnas which looking at them are going to last 2 mins before the lacquer starts peeling. Didn't realise the faces of annapurnas are lacquered not painted. This  type of wheel doesn't do well in salty conditions.

That's one of the reasons we ditched the Annapurnas in favour of the Origamis.  Have to say that the Annapurnas do look good - but relieved that the Origamis also look good on it.  Devil's own job to get much information on wheel types when we placed the order last October, but that photo's encouraging!

Put plenty of wheel sealant on them and keep up to them, they will be fine! Mine are gleaming.

The Origamis are too "closed up" for me...  They look like those silly alloys they put on the eco versions of cars that are more solid to be better for aerodynamics. Like these hideous things from Volvo. Furthermore they are not "dished" (concave) and protrude (seemingly) more than any of the other alloys making them very, very, very susceptible to kerbing in my view. I'm not saying they protrude beyond the tyre edge, just there might be more scenarios where they will touch a kerb than with any other of Škoda's alloys. So was I to get an L&K, these will be the first to get taken off the spec and to be replaced by anything - preferably the Matterhorns or the next best looking which is the Scudo alloys from the S and SE spec.

Totally agree they look really outdated. Matterhorns are the best IMO but I do like the my Annapurnas and if you look after them they will stay that way.

Yes, they are. Likely to be my choice of wheel :)

I love the Anapurna's in fact had they not been a no cost option on my Elegance then I would have paid good money to have them, I do take on board how fragile they look, in fact I really need to get some steelies sorted out with winter tyres on.

All down to personal taste of course, which is why it's good to see there are 3 Elegance designs to choose from (not counting the Greenline).

Yup I agree...  choice is good and each to their own but why limit L&K buyers to one design? Typical SUK madness.

Madness indeed; L&K buyers are limited to one interior type and colour choice too.

Fits into the same category as the dash insert issue this really! On the Elegance I cannot fathom why you can't spec the insert choice from the model below, but you can spec wood effect that I'd expect a limited portion of buyers will want?

SUK Madness as ever...   :wall:

SUK madness indeed although just as mad, I actually like the sparkly champagne colour of my Elegance inserts :wall:  :giggle:

It would be a boring world if we all liked the same things

Not a problem liking them, I'm glad someone does :)

More the option to allow them to be changed.....

I'd really like the black gloss from the l&k interior. Wonder if its available from dealers?

You'll be able to order them for retrofit, but not sure at what cost. Probably a good few quid.

I can understand the L&K having different ones, top model and all that.

I like the back and silver Origamis on the FL L&K.

Not sure if it's been posted here (couldn't see it but rarely beat Johann!) but the new optional extra wheel is son of Matterhorn - the Bloomer (and we thought 'Origami' was a strange name...):

They look good but bet they are bu@@ers to clean, unless you get someone to do it for you.

Just checked on one of the Jungle Green Skoda press cars, a 1.8TSI L&K and it comes back as 'Brown' from the DVLA!

OH thanks for that Jerry!  That is indeed a lovely wheel!  I would be happy with either Matterhorn or Blossom.  Wonder if SUK will let us have them?!
