Turbo back system

Featured Replies

Been told by my choice of tuner (when I get a fabia) to get the most gains to get a good panel filter (oem just as good from what I've read) but also a turbo back exhaust system.

Milltek springs to mind but damn they are pricey new, is there anywhere to get cheaper/unbranded? Can't really see any second hand ones either

What do you think folks? Custom system an option?

Unless you are looking for BIG power and exhaust isnt really needed as standard one will see 210 - 220bhp. Only reason to change is for the noise element really.

Getting a custom one this weekend, probably the best choice as you can choose how you like it instead of the same as others, however, all up to you and like said above

Where abouts are you located?

Middle of nowhere, ah you're oswestry, would be easiest to say Shrewsbury to you (about 30 mins south of Shrewsbury)

As above, no exhaust NEEDED for that power, people have run 200+ on the stock system.

Exhaust personally for me was a bit more of a growl :)

Your also fairly local to DKU exhausts then, who are in Walsall give them a try see what they say.

However you could just have your car cut out and replaced with a pipe.

For a Milltek alternative you could look at a Piper turbo-back system.. I got a full turbo-back with sports cat, 0 silencers for £575 delivered.. Really easy to fit and sounds better than the Milltek IMO..

Mines currently at 180bhp with a panel filter and exhaust, although as said, its not really needed for that sort of power, bought mine more for the noise..

What kind of noise does it make?

I don't want to sound like the corsas with an exhaust as big as the tyres. A deeper tone would be nice though, cheers for the recommendation buddy. I'll also keep an eye out on here too for a 2nd hand one

Burrrrrrrrrr Burrrrrrrrrr barrrrrr-urrrrrrr

As fletch said haha.. Sounds epic on boost now its mapped..

Here's a vid of Dark_Hero's Piper decat with and without silencer..

Mine with a decat sounds like a petrol engine with a straight through ... a mates got one with the cat in and the back box chopped out and it sounds pretty sweet on boost even has a little hoot when coming off the gas.. also with a nice big air filter it flutters just like a petrol.. air filter does take a fair bit of the diesel clatter sound away
