Are unbranded / aftermarket coilpacks available?

Featured Replies

Pulled a coilpack today and noticed it was totally lacking in a VW group part number, or even a bosch number.  There was 1 random set of numbers and that's it.   Looks exactly the same as others, and car runs fine.  :)

I've seen aftermarket ones (with codes such as 7003A) and fake Bosch ones.

Yes of course you can get non oem ones

I fitted a non oem coil pack years ago not long after I bought the car. My car had a slight misfire the whole time it was in. Not thinking anything of it as it was new. It was only when I replaced it the misfire went. I wouldn't use anything other than genuine coilpacks now.
