MOT - a year later

Featured Replies

Well it was that day again today

But all was well  :sun:

Although I have.......shock.......horror......

An 'Advisory'......[stunned silence]  :peek:  :peek:

It says 'Offside rear Direction indicator slightly discoloured'.

But I wondered if I ought really to take it as a compliment as, to a certain extent, I guess they're supposed to be.

However all will be well, because my daughter has an orange permanent Sharpie that I've snaffled to great effect before.  So my shame will only last until tomorrow morning.  Ain't doing it now coz guess what..... it's raining  :notme:

Nice one.  Mine has managed the last two without any issue - last MOT they picked up one of my rear shocks is starting to mist a little.  Mustn't grumble! :)

  • 3 weeks later...

mine failed with in excess of 200k....  for what..... wrong style of number plate letters were too bold style writing !!!

anyway, all was well apart from that so just replaced and enjoyed the guy rechecking the car for this miserable failure for this miserable failure,he didnt.pen the roller shutter door high enough, and banged his head... good enough for him lol

LOL love it.  I have pressed aluminium plates on mine (correct font, mind) and no-one has ever said anything about them.

Bonkers  :wonder:

My last CRX failed on a show plate that had more than 10mm gap between the letters.  Shame of it was that the plate was so much nicer than the boggy standard one which replaced it - MOT mush agreed and shrugged.

C'est la vie.

Haven't done my bulb yet - I feel like Che Guevara

MOT time again.

Passed without even an advisory   :sun:

Went to a different garage this time due to the last MOT place (been using them for years) failing the Del Sol on low brake pads which were not below the minimum they'd stated and gave me an advisory on a light bulb the car doesn't have.  Numpties.

MOT tester said she was a 'good old beasty'.

I dunno why, but it's always a sigh of relief when it passes.

Nice one.  Another year of inexpensive luxury motoring :)
