Well, my Fabia vRS has now done 2000 miles and still not a drop of oil has been burnt! Feeling really pleased about that

Congratulations, but that is how it should be really. You have a CTHE engine.  

Very few have had a problem, but putting some oil in if needed is not really unusual when running in, its all dependent on how you use it.

 

Mostly it was CAVE engines that had issues and 1 or 2 out of ten maybe.
