front cigarette lighter stuck in and fuse blown - please help!

Featured Replies

Hi, I had a bit of rust inside my cigarette lighter socket and stupidly used a key to try to clean it.

Predictably I blew the fuse and then my 4 year old daughter pushed the lighter home!

Please would somebody be kind enough to let me know the location and rating of the fuse that I will need to replace? Desperately need to do so as I need to use my satnav.

Thanks in advance.

Fuse box in the end of the dashboard by the drivers door, use a screwdriver or similar to open, the handbook will tell you which fuse it is to replace and the rating.

Just changed my Cigarette Lighter fuse, in the owners hand book the photo shows the fuse cover to be on the left hand side "LHD car", when in fact it's on the right hand side "my car's a RHD" if that makes any difference.....

All the fuse positions are also reversed, so the card with the fuse numbers is mirrored.
