auto dimming mirror

Is it major work to fit auto dimming mirror to 2012 yeti Greenline elegance?

I thought that the Elegance spec. models already came with an auto-dimming rear-view mirror?

Yes the Elegance model does have the auto dimming rear view mirror as standard, are you actually referring to the door mirrors that are not auto dimming unless specified?

Could the spec be different  UK to Southern Ireland ?

Is it major work to fit auto dimming mirror to 2012 yeti Greenline elegance?

Same question again, with just a slight change: "2012 Ambition".

Or in other words: Are all Yetis fitted with the electrical preparation for the auto dimming mirror or is the roof harness model / trim specific, depending on equipment ? Does someone know here ?

One can pry open the two halves of the mirror pedestal cover (models with rain / light sensor) in order to find if there is a free connector inside. Tried myself but was afraid to break the cover so abandoned this test. As I also wanted to fit an auto mirror, I was told at the service garage that models without auto mirror have no electrical preparation, so it is a major electrical change if possible at all.

The mirror itself fits only on rain / light sensor mounting plate. If the mirror operates on 12 V, it might be an easy job, as power exist just a few inches away, for the interior light. Just it wouldn't have the feature that turns it to normal when engaging reverse gear, as mentioned in the manual referring to factory fitted models.
