Aerial problems

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have had my Superb for 2 years now on a 04 plate but since the day I got it the Aerial has not worked. I have replaced the radio for a parrot asteroid which uses the web via my phone but I would like to get the main aerial working agin as it's a pain having to use my phone data allowance all the time for radio. I have checked the connections which seem to be fine but I heard somewhere that there maybe some kind of condenser that might be faulty or something.

Has anybody got any ideas other than changing the whole cable and aerial.

Cheers

Has the aerial always been broken, or just since you fitted the Parrot?

I ask because I thought these cars have an active aerial which is powered down the coax, and if you use a different head unit which can't power it then you need to add an adapter to supply power to the aerial.

But I could also be talking rubbish...! :)
