Jom coilovers + 17s

Featured Replies

Recently put some jom coilovers on and 17" wheels with 205/40/17 tyres and 20mm spacers on the rear, Ive got the rear adjusters all the way to the top and the wheels still scrape on the arch when I go over bumps and I can hardly fit my hand in the arch. I know I could get the arches rolled but I don't think it's right surly there should be a bit of gap in the arch?

cheers, alex

take the spacers off and it won't catch the arch

I'll try that but I'd rather keep them on tbh was hoping for other options or if people have had the same problem.

cheers:)

Either put smaller tyres ie: 195/40/17 will add stretch to the tyre so more room between the arch and alloy or put smaller spacers in, joms are low coil overs but very bouncy if you had a more expensive stiffer suspension it wouldn't rub

You could put some camber shims on and that might clear it or go 15mm spacers?

Roll the arches so it still sits neat with a slightly wider stance..

Cheers guys will probably just remove the spacers for the moment and look into getting the arches rolled :)

15mm spacers instead of 20mm will be your best option or higher the rear up abit.
