Replace Fabia Rear Quarter Light

Featured Replies

HI Forum,

This is my first post but have used and found the site very useful in the past... but can't find anything about window replacement. I've very recently had a break in through my nearside rear quarter light. I'd like to try and replace it myself (my insurance excess is excessive), is it a very difficult job? any hints on how best to go about it?

Cheers.

Ive nver actually changed just the quaterlight but I would think you would have to..

Remove the door trim.

Remove the window and regualtor

Undo the retaining screws (T25 iirc) on the rear window guide

Slide the window upwards and out of the main window appature.

Refit is the reverse.

Presumably when you say your insurance excess is excessive you mean either (a) it's a lot more than the standard
