hmmmm inspection and spanner just will not go away

Featured Replies

Hi, I have a 2007 Fabia 1 estate and just after buying it the spanner appeared and a gong sounded along with "inspec" on the little screen with the miles on it. Tried holding down the black knob for a while after turning on ignition no good, got a Vgate 450 tried to reset it no good. Vgate says its successfully changed it but it is still there..............................................Does anyone have a suggestion of what to try next or is there a reasonably priced diagnostic near Worcester that can help me???????????????????????????

Thanks in advance for any help,

Hold button down then turn the key (hold button for 10 secs after ignition on)

edit. forgot to mention you must turn the little button to the right lol

It is also possible for you to reset the Service Interval Display with the reset button
? page 11, fig. 4 as follows:
• Press the reset button  ? page 11, fig. 4 with the ignition switched off and
and hold it down.
• Switch the ignition on, release the reset button  and and turn the reset button
to the right. All counters will be reset to 0.

Taken from Fabia 1 handbook dated 2007.
