Track Day Preperation

Featured Replies

What prep does everyone do to there car prior to track use ??

I'm doing my first track day soon,so I'm just getting to grips so far :-

K&N 57i Induction kit

ATE power discs front, with Greenstuff pads

ATE standard rear discs and Greenstuff pads

Bilstein Suspension kit -30mm rideheight and progressive lowered springs

Suspension strut tops and shock bump stops have been replaced along with the rear wheel bearings and a brakefluid change.

Clutch was replaced recently and new spark plugs and a oil and filter chnage done -- apart from checking the tyre pressures I can't think of anything else to do -- anything missed ???

Looks good Dave, dont forget to check and carry a topup for the engine oil just in case.

Yeah will do, there are a few from my garage who are (supposed)to be going so between us we should be able to cover most things. We;ve got quite a mix of cars going :-

My Golf VR6

a Nova 1.4 Modified sprint car

a Porsche 924 modified sprint car - as seen in Men&Motors cannonball coverage and advert -- the scouse "Almost Bloody died"

a Suburu Imprezza with Prodrive performance kit

so I think there should be a lot of fun.
