rim size does anyone have experience with the ET goal to install without coming into contact with the screens. 've seen on some Dots rapier wheels 8.0 "x18" ET 35

Might be tight to say the least. The stock 18 inchers are 7.5 x 18 ET 51.  I have a set of winter tyres/wheels which are 8 x 18 ET 45 and they fit fine but I would not say there's another 10mm to play with safely.

 

Edited to say, they seem to be approved for Audi A3 so may fit.  Also consider scrub radius and bump steer as a possible side effect (although an extra 16mm may not be noticeable).
