VCDS confusion

Featured Replies

Hi I wonder if anyone can help.

I have been a very happy  VRS estate owner since october, (still very happy, best car i have ever had)  but the unlock thing with the doors is driving me nuts. I have borrowed a genuine vcds & cable  from a mate at work and thought i would make the following changes

SINGLE DOOR UNLOCK

46 – Cent Convenience
07 - Recode

The single door unlock give an even number i.e 00064.  To make all the doors unlock with one press, just add 1 i.e. 00065

ANTI HIJACK

46 – Central convenience

10 - Adaptation
Channel 03 Auto Lock (auto locks car after 10mph)
Channel 04 Auto Unlock (unlock the car when u take the key out)

STEERING ASSIST

44 – steering assist

07 - recode

Soft coding = 011x0  or 012x0

Replace x with a number from 1 – 9

2 = GTI

3 = Comfort

6 = Handicapped (very light)

When i look at the installed tab it doesn't have "46 central convenience" does this mean i cannot edit these changes.

Any help gratefully received and apologies if i'm being a numpty.

There's no 46 - Central convenience on mine either.  Most (if not all of them) are now in 9 - Cent. Elect. (J519). I've done the anti-hijack and it works and I've also changed the steering weight.  You did do an autoscan first?  And you are running the latest version of the software?
