vrs rear electric windows

Featured Replies

whats needed to retro fit these in the rear anyone done it?

Working on the basis that anything is possible, it is possible, but it's going to involve a lot of work and/or some compromises. The first thing you want is a pair of rear doors from an Elegance. Why get the whole door? Because it's easier than trying to fit the bits into your existing doors. Electrics are easy, just pick up a feed from anywhere locally. The BIG issue for me was matching the door cards. The switch holders are built into the door cards so you will either need to have non-matching rear door cards or get the door cards re trimmed to match the fronts.

I'm not aware of anyone who has actually put power windows into the back of a vRS. Tech1e's vRS estate had rear electric windows because the donor car was an elegance estate but I'm not aware of anyone who has put them into a vRS that started out as a vRS.
