Car Horn

Featured Replies

I've been thinking. As SWMBO has just bought a smart car and the horn sounds like a small toy, it will be the first thing I will make her replace.

Which got me thinking... What is the best sounding horn on a car that you've heard?

The one that kept me awake last night, **** was pressing it constantly all night, he did pause briefly mind. But it was a real guy, in an Astra, pressing his horn all bloody night. Oh and he was shouting 'oi' a lot.

Shouldve rammed that bloody horn down his throat.

Actually I like the Smarts horn, wanna swap for my Fabia one?

Go for a pair of air horns from Halfords ;) At school we were toying about putting a train horn that our DT teacher had "found" on a car - that was chuffin' loud

Well, at the moment she wants a truck horn on it. Complete with cable pull above the drivers door. So it should be interesting....

I couldn't actually think of a car that had a good sounding horn, thats why I've thrown it out there. Might go the air horn way! :D

Proper 'Dukes of Hazzard' kit.Just not enough of them around in this day and age.

Change it secretly though Mort.First time she pips will be great

Dual horns that work at different pitches to give the 'luxury horn' sound, like you find in a Merc or Beemer.

Have you seen these? At least you get to hear some of them before you buy.

i bought a klaxon off ebay other week and sounds robbish, so i got some tripple air horns which play on a rotor, 1 at a time round and round, will fit them tomorrow

I always liked the sound of horns on 80s porsche 911s don`t know if it was just 911s or any other porsche, modern ones just don`t cut the mustard
