Featured Replies

This has probably been answered a few times but i cant find what im looking for.

I was just wondering, what people used to cut the bumper and did they have an problems with paint flaking or anything?

And what mesh did you use and where did you get it from? And how much do i need, be contemplating for a while to do it, so think im gunna do it now lol

Thanks

Will

I just used a hack saw. Some people use a Stanley knife.

I'm going to be changing it soon though, so you'll be welcome to have it.

I see your going to castle Combe. Will be good to see your car :)

Do you remember where you got it from?

And yeah be good to see yours too, im hoping to have a smooth front bumper and most of my bodywork done by then, but not sure if i will yet! :(

No problems with the bumper flaking mate.

I used a bosch took of my dads on mine, I think you could get away with a hack saw roughly then Stanley blade it till is neat.

I used a powder coated black mesh on eBay I think it was called 'Kamei' or something like that.

Mine came from ebay too. Was £25 odd

Just wondering as mine has been smoothed a little and repainted so have a feeling it may crack.

And okay, you dont happen to have a link or how much i would need to cover it nicely?

Thanks :)

Cheers mate, will try find something :)

I think mine was 100 x 30cm I can't seem to find anything bigger than 100cm x 25cm though now. I wouldn't like to say if that would cover it, it's a bit windy to go out and measure it too lol.

Oh really why what did you find out :P

You was just unlucky dan :( I have been up and down the country with mine fitted and had no issues.

I suppose that's what I get for living in North Wales. Capital of ****er police haha.

I used a stanley knife for cutting too, but I found warming up the blade with a fag lighter helped for a smoother cut with less power needed. :)

Just order some mesh from poland, seemed to be the only place which did it in 100cm x 30cm.
