World of tanks Xbox 360 edition - free to xbox gold members

Featured Replies

Not sure if anyone else has noticed it but there is a free download of World Of Tanks available atm ( I think it is free but it might just be to Xbox Live gold members).

Quite good fun but takes a bit of getting used to.

Only thing I would watch out for is the large size of the downloads (the game is relatively small at 70MB but the map packs and resource packs seem huge).

It's  Free to play game anyway. You are encouraged to make in game purchases to progress faster up the the tank tree. i.e, if you want a Tiger in a week or two it's going to cost you plenty of pennies.

I play War Thunder which is a F2P WW2 flight sim (you might have put me onto it I can't remember). It tries to get in game payments too but so far I've not spent a penny.

They certainly won't be seeing a penny from me - I will progress as fast as I can without paying anything!

War Thunder is bringing out a tank module soon. Then a naval module.

The aim is to eventually have a total war mode where you'll have guy in planes tanks and ships all fighting on the same map.

I like the sound of that!

I play on the PC as they havn't released it for the Xbox one yet. Good game

War thunder is available on playstation and world of tanks is on x box. I think it's world of tanks that are gonna bring out the total war thing as they have advertised it as coming soon, plus they already have the planes and navel games out.

WoT and WT are both russian companies and I think the rivalry is pretty intense.

The total war idea is probably a long while away with WT, the tanks are only just about to go public beta.
