Stupid Amundsen Question

Featured Replies

It's upto you whether this is a stupid question or the Amundsen is stupid......

On the top left of the display it shows what driving mode you are in.

When you stop the car and turn the ignition off (but leave the key in so the Amundsen is still powered) the top left now shows what street you are on.

Is there a way for it to not show the driving mode and always show the street name?

I don't want to always have the Nav screen on, just showing the street name would be very useful (Far more useful than what mode I am in seeing that I put it in that mode in the first place so know what's going on.... even if I didn't know then my right foot would tell me the difference).

Your question, I also wonder if it is possible to change, so hope someone has the answers to the question

For my Columbus, I can have the street name and the compass display right infront at the Maxi-dot console by selecting the navigation mode from the right hand side switches on the steering wheel. It is independent from the big screen.

Amundsen is the same regarding the maxi dot.

I just want to get rid of the mode selection visilbilty (if possible)

I had a look on mine when driving home and couldn't see an option anywhere either. I checked the main car settings, mode selection and nav settings but nothing. This is an Elegance with Amundsen btw.

Fingers crossed in an update maybe?
