sealing ring on top boost pipe

Featured Replies

hi is the sealing ring available seperately for the top boost pipe from dealers / or will they say i need a complete pipe ?

Do a search, I replied to a thread about two days ago to which people posted part numbers for the seal, so yes you can buy them in there own.

Yeah cheap as chips signally from the dealer.

Not that cheap, depends on the stealer, I got charged £7 for mine recently, also there are several sizes available, make sure you get right one.

Well ordering the right one goes without saying :D Was that a complete kit though??

£7 is cheap in comparison to replacing the entire pipe at £90+ no?

I've replaced all the booster-pipe seals a few times, they always start to leak again after a few months.

Biggest leak is usually the very bottom booster-pipe connection where it attaches to intercooler thingy..

Not a total do-it and forget it repair.....

Sure, just that the guy in the parts dept didn't seem to know which was which, in the end we got all the sizes out and I had to measure against my old one. And no that was just for a single ring. Seemed dear to me for what is essentially an elastic band, but yeah cheaper than pipe I suppose.

Even if you bought a new metal booster pipe you would still need these little plastic bands to make a seal..
