ms201 radio constantly illuminates

Featured Replies

I have had one of these put in my fabia and I'm wondering do u need to change the wiring at all, as the backlight on the radio doesn't go off even without the keys in..

It probably means that the permanent and switched supplies need to be reversed. I'm assuming that at one time it had an aftermarket HU fitted. Check to see if there is an adapter cable between the HU and main loom - remove it if there is.

I had the MS402 in prior to this one, so it should be standard looms

Not sure if it's the same on your 201 but on my MS402 there is a setting in the menu to have the radio either switched by the ignition or only by the on/off button on the unit. Wonder if that has anything to do with it?

Tried that too, its not actually on because i removed the security panel that switches it off..its purely just the backlight..the rest of its dead when this is removed
