Octavia 1 handles same as fabia 1?

Featured Replies

I am wondering if the rear offside door handle from the Octavia I am breaking will fit my fabia?  I just pulled the handle on the mongrel, and I heard a CLUNK/CRACK noise and now the door only opens from the inside....  It's a bit tatty anyway so I would like to affect a full swap if they fit.

Anyone done a guide?  I have a vague memory of a T20 bolt hidden in the door that frees up the "barrel" part of the handle.  The rest I totally forget.  :)

You'll have email in a minute or two

Mail bounced by your server, attachment too large :(

im sure tech1e has  a guide somewhere on here

TBH when I read the title I thought you meant the handling not the handle :D

If the PDF's no good, here's Tech1es guide

I believe they are the same as when I worked at Skoda, we ordered the Fabia and Octavia ones and they came in the same...HTH??

Thanks.  A job for when I return from my trip.  Sort of glad I have the shell sat outside now.  Didn't think I would be able to use any of it in the mongrel though ha! :D

Octavia handles definitely the same. I fitted ones from an octavia vrs using tech1es guide as it was the easiest way to get colour coded ones.
