Ceri Glass

Featured Replies

Well I've seen this mentioned on the Ghost image thread.

I didn't want to high-jack that thread but it seems this stuff might be able to help me. I don't have any real scratches as such on my windscreen, but at night it is sometime a bit 'blurry'(?) / more difficult to see due to the light scattering across the glass.

I've see what this stuff can do,  however the main issue is that I don't have or have access to a decent electric polisher, shy of some £20 RAC thing.

Do you think using this on the windscreen by hand will have any positive effect and if so what technique should I use (circular motions etc?)

Or should I not even bother till I can either afford or rent a proper polisher

I was thinking clean the glass fully-> use glass polish (autoglym) ->use Ceri-glass ->use glass polish (autoglym) -> success

over to you guys...

Cheers,

Kyle

It will take forever

You really need someone with a rotary to do it

I just used some Cerium Oxide (Jewelers Rouge) on my old car, It made a decent improvement in a reasonable time but you get to a point where you can spend hours trying to remove some deeper scratches. You can buy the powder of ebay cheap enough and just mix to a paste.

Thanks for the link mozzie.

Has anyone got a link to a glass sealant? Searched for artdeshine one and that just brings up paint sealant and I have some C2v3

Also, does anyone know if.you can use ceri glass on poly headlights? Cyc says it can but haven't read this on any other sites.

Cheers,

Kyle

I have the email for the ADS European and UK distributor if you PM me.

Nice guy to deal with

Cheers, pm on route.

Would this be any good?, I was planing on getting it when I did the headlights so if I can use it for both that would be grand.

Why don't you get someone with a rotary to do it for you

You provide the pad and the polish

Simples!!

I thought about that,or i could rent one from rollupandshine.

But I do want to do the headlights and paintwork in the future, plus its never a bad thing to own more equipment/learn a new skill!
