2010 59 plate Octavia VRS Petrol hatch - 101k miles -

Featured Replies

Right, lets see how we get on here. I'm the IT Manager at work and one of my jobs is to occasionally sell off any old company cars we no longer have need of, and this time it's a Skoda.

It's a 2010 petrol facelift VRS Hatchback on a 59 plate in black magic. It's done 101500 miles or thereabouts which is fairly high for the age, but it was used by one of our engineers travelling to customer sites so a lot of that was on the motorway and it's been well maintained.
Two years ago at 67000 miles the cam chain tensioner failed with the expected results so it had a new engine fitted with the cost mostly covered by Skoda, so that's actually done less than 35000 miles.

It was last MOTd in January which it sailed through with no problems. I don't believe it has any options fitted other than an aftermarket Parrot bluetooth, so the standard heated half leather seats, 18" alloys and a Bolero stereo. It has a full skoda service history with main dealer stamps at 20k, 37k, 58k, 77k, and 97k last July. Somewhere we'll have the actual invoices buried away in our finance department which I'll try and find. All four tyres have a good amount of tread left on them - probably about 5mm though I couldn't find the tyre gauge to measure exactly.

I've taken it for a drive and it all pulls and stops very well with no nasty noises or obvious problems, though it is sold as seen with no warranty. I'll be giving it a proper clean in the next day or so, but it looks in good condition with the only obvious damage a scuff on the bumper and some minor stone chips and the odd little scratch on the front end. Obviously the hardcore detailers would be horrified at it's state now as it's barely been used for the last couple of months and has sat in a car park, but it looks good for car of it's age.

It's in Redditch in the West Mids should anyone wish to come and view it. I'll be happy to take them out for a drive, but you won't be allowed behind the wheel yourself unless we have seen proof you are insured to drive and we have cash in our hands, just in case you crash it.

Sorry about removing the details for a while, but I was adding in the (fairly important) information about it having had a new engine fitted less than two years ago.

Right, I've now jetwashed it and it looks nice in the sun, so here's some pics.
Any questions, please ask.

I found a scuff on the rear bumper that I think will mostly polish out but I've left it alone for someone who knows what they are doing.

Let's try this at £6800 instead. I was driving it all week and it's a really nice car but needs to go.

Still no interest? How does £6300 sound?

My offer still stands Alex

You will get more from we buy any car . Com ut in the lower mileage and then haggle when they try to knock you down. Guess you will get £6.5k

Be lucky to get 4500 from wbac firestormwest

Such great cars but trade values terrible

£4500 is a joke.......its worth £6000 all day long.....Havent seen one as cheap as this yet.

Has it got any Tax?
