Build week 51 - no faults.

Featured Replies

Before my car arrived I read all the faults being reported by you and wondered whether mine would have them when it arrived.

Touch wood I seem to have been lucky - time will tell as the car has only done 550 miles since delivery date of 24 Jan and the wife has driven nearly all of those.

As we don't know the build week of cars with faults, maybe we should all put our build week in the signature box. We can narrow down the faulty period - maybe there won't be one but I'm sure a couple of hours on a spreadsheet would narrow them down?

Any thoughts on this?

My VRS is fault free too, just hit 4k today picked her up 22nd November not a clue what build week she was though :-).

My build week was 51...

picked up 5 weeks ago now done 750 miles

Haven't found any fault as such, only the display screen went blank for 30 min's

Jimbo, I don't think you have been lucky. In general the Octavia is just a good and well built car.

Yes, a handful of people on here had faults with their cars...but as always, those who didn't actually have any issues, didn't open a thread titled 'Everything is fine with my car'.

It is unlikely that an analysis of the build week will provide you with any usable data. Chances are most cars leave the factory exactly as thy meant to - perfectly fine.

Yes I have to agree, I wouldn't necessarily have come on here asking for advice if my car had been fine.
