Fabia in Hd

Featured Replies

Gave the fabia a quick once over with the autoglym hd wax I picked up off amazon a few weeks ago for £23

Think you'll agree the results are good. It comes with 2 applicators which are already packed damp and a microfibre cloth the buff it off.

Having used collinite for the last 4 or 5 years this stuff is a breeze to use, goes on really easy and evenly, leave 10 or so minutes and buff off. Again buffs ridiculously easy with no mess.

Only think I'll say with the sponge applicator is to make sure the paint is really smooth to start with otherwise it drags a bit (as I say it was a quick once over to test and protect car rather than a full detail).

I'll see how the durability is over the coming weeks/months.

Looks great

I have some AGHDW in the garage somewhere

Its gives a very good finish but as you say, the paintwork must be prepared properly first (Like all LSP's TBH)

Durability is fair but not as good as Collinite

I used to use it as my summer wax

Cheers, I have heard it doesn't last as long but it is much easier to apply and remove than colly so it means i can be bothered to do it more often.  I will strip, clay and polish both cars when/if the weather starts to improve (probably when I put the alloys back on) and make them both look like new again as mine is looking very neglected at the moment.

If ease of application and removal are important to you (as it is with me) then maybe you should consider `Armour-All Shield` as your LSP.

Mike.

..or put AGHDW over the Armour all ;)

thanks, bargain from homebase! The yellow boxes are recycling boxes pilfered from an empty building we were clearing out at work.

I've got full racking at the end of the garage too but my upcoming double door conversion will mean a new thread for that with some ocd painting and detailing of the garage into a full detail bay lol!
