Water ingress problem solved BUT!

Featured Replies

Hey there i have a 2005 SuperB 1,9 TDI and i have now fixed the drain plugs under the battery and under the serverpump and i have even fixed the pollenfilter housing.

I opened up the carpet in the left side and there where fortunately no water, but there has for sure been in the past before i bought the car.

There where lots of corroded wire joints and i have fixed all of them.

So now i got the interior light working (well almost).

Before nothing worked at all when i open a door the puddle light and light with the feets works but none of the light in the ceiling will turn on automatic when i open a door.

The dashboard will show that the door is open so that part is working fine.

I can manual turn on all of the lights in the ceiling but they will absoultely not turn on when i open a door.

The ccm modul looks by the way fine.

Anybody who knows which wires to check or what to do.

Any help would be much appreciated, Thanks

Did you check all the wires and have you done a scan with vcds? Be aware that there are connections in the wiring bundle next to both the front door and the rear door.

I don't have a Superb wiring diagram handy and I'm not sure if VAG changed the wiring colours from the Passat B5.5 when designing the Superb, but try checking the following wire colours based on the Passat:

Try these first:

Blue with grey stripe

Brown with white stripe

Red with black stripe

Grey with blue stripe

Then try these:

Brown with black stripe

Red with white stripe

Red with yellow stripe

FYI, I suspect the dashboard is showing the door open indicator because it is driven by the CAN bus which is driven by a different wiring pair.

Still no luck anybody else who has an idea of where the problem is?

I even tried to change the CCM module with another from a different car but still no luck.

This is really frustrating!!

If you have done the main bunch of connecting wires behind the passenger seat, then  I agree with the post above. There are two nodes I think you have missed by the looks of the passat diagram and your write up on the problem. One where four wires join togeather and one where there is just a joint.

I have the same problem with my '07 Elegancen - ceiling lights work manually, footwell and puddle lamps work with the door.I have 2 fault codes showing - 01008 - Emergency OFF switch activated and 01336 Data bus for Comfort system fault.

Carpets etc all dry - any advice on where to start looking appreciated!

You guys were so right.

I just found one node that I missed 5 wires all blue with grey stripe. When that node was redone all worked!!

Thanks Guys!!
