Golf leather Recaro seat wiring harness

Featured Replies

I have the same seats. Nice aren't they?

Haven't connected any wiring from them - yet.

Mine also have airbags which aren't connected.

Just fitted a set of Golf Mk4 leather Recaro`s in the Octy, super chuffed with them to say the least. My question is, how to wire up the seat heating, will this harness work with them? http://www.kufatec.co.uk/shop/en/skoda/octavia/octavia-1u/seat-heating-harness-skoda-octavia-1u with some extra dash switches obviously.

I purchased the same loom for my golf recaros. The seat end is correct but the switch end is incorrect as it has two plugs for two separate dash switches. ie Golf. The octy has a single dash switch that does left and right seats with thumb wheels. I spoke to Kufatec uk who said that's the only one they do. They offered a refund if I sent it back. However the majority of the loom is correct so I will just adapt it to fit. One day !!

Golf switches would be easier to come by I suspect. Could they be adapted to fit somewhere?

Rob,dont you have the air bag light, on the dash, on? My mechanic told me that if I leave the air bag plugs off I ll have the air bag light flashing in my dash...

My stock seats had no airbags so there's nowhere to plug them.

Making the airbags functional might be impossible.Few months ago I replaced the seats from a B5.5 Passat to a non facelift B5 passat...they have different plugs but the wires are the same,so I replaced the plugs but it was useless because new seats have aibags with different resistance and they appear faulty on VCDS

Interesting, would be great if you could get it to work though!

As Rob said, it maybe worth trying to fit the golf switches somewhere else if possible?

Your mechanic is talking tosh, no airbags on standard vrs seats, so nowhere to plug them in as Rob said, mine are unplugged too.

Loving them lots Rob, even better than the Leon seats, which were an improvement, got these for a song too.

I`m surprised yours has side airbags, even if it is a late model, a mate in work has a 2005 vrs, no side airbags on his either.

Rob, don`t think these would fit a Octy dash would they?....Or have you got a cunning plan?
