help!!! indicator lights on but not flashing same with hazards have to manually move stalk to indicate

As the sentence is so difficult to understand. I presume it is the same problem that I am having. The relay is clickin but lights are not on, but when the stalk is moved to indicate then the lights come on. If that is the problem, then the problem is the stalk not the relay. The stalk has just worn out or there is some copper between the stalk and steering rod which needs to be cleaned. The same problem has been discovered with Passats for numerous times.

OMG, my indicators don't work either unless I move the stalk!!! 

 

Indicators are for wussies anyway. I need a BMW.

problem solved.  the threat of being f*****g smashed & scrapped coupled with a sharp blow to hazzard switch area sems to have cured problem, indicators & hazzards have been working fine for the last 2 days!!!
