Alarm Light an Fuesebox Layout

Featured Replies

Hi

I bought a LHD Skoda Fabia 2006 mk1.

It came with only one key (non alarm).

So I have mangaed to buy a new flip key with transponder and have had it programmed to the car, so now we have 2 keys.

But when I come to programme the remote control, I have failed. (which does not need and electronic equipment)

I Noticed that the light next to the door button, does not flash no matter what I do. and I can't get the alarm to go off.

So looking though this forum, I saw that fuse number 60 may be connected to the alarm, except it is missing.

So I look at my fuse card, which confirms fuse number 60 and haynes manual which shows the same layout.

But when I go to put a fuse into number 60, it is if no fuse belongs there, no electrical contacts to hold the fuse in.

Looking further, I notice I am also missing fuse 61, which on Haynes mannual suggests it is the fuel pump, but on my fuse card it shows and engine with a lightning symbol on it.

Again, it is not possible to put a fuse in to this number.

So I am guessing there is a different fuse layout, or these fuses are optional.

But I cant find any information that suggests, they should be optional.

So, has anyone any experience to tell me where I can get a look at the correct fuse numbers.

I know the wiring is ok for the light on the door, because I have been into the door.

Ok Thanks

Are you looking at the right diagram in the Haynes manual? LHD drive cars have a different fuse layout.

Yes it shows both LHD and RHD as a diagram.

But only one list of fuses with their numbers.

Plus the fuse card came with the car.

OK

I have taken a photo and realise I had made a mistake on fuse 61 it is there, but fuse 60 is still empty anf that I think is the fuse for the alarm proving it has one.

Failing this, what fuse is used for the flashing light on the door?

he central locking works with a key, but not with the remote control, trying to figure out if it is the sensor/system, or the key

Thanks

Have you tried a new battery in the key yet?

Yes just tried, the light on fob is brighter.

But still wont communicate with car.
