Different key, different opening/locking experience!

Featured Replies

Had car 2 weeks and loving it. I've noticed that they key I have unlocks all doors with one button press whereas the key wife uses only opens drivers door with one press and two presses for all doors. Also wife's key makes car make audible 'cheep' when locking and unlocking and mine does not.

Is that just down to key programming or something?

Prefer my key opening all doors with one press but wife's key as it makes the 'cheep'!!

I think, not 100%, the keys or rather what each key does, can be adjusted in Maxidot (if you have it) It's a 'read the manual' one :)

Well I never! My key only opens one door on one click. Right bugger it is as always just click and get in then pick someone up enroute to work and every bloody day he always pulls the handle off because its locked!! Doh! Nearly every day. :)

Yes got maxidot. Will have a look at that, and the manual, thanks.

Yep all the settings from the maxidot, door opening, CH/LH lights, etc are stored separately for each key.
