This is particuarly good because we'd thought it wouldn't arrive until the middle of next week, and both my girlfriend and I have next week off as holiday and were planning on doing a LOT of day trips to run it in. Now it's just down to the insurer to get the cover note to the dealer in time...

For anyone interested it's a grey 1.9TDi estate, and will be replacing a purple (no, really) Rover 214si. Now I'll finally be able to beat those pesky Caterham 7s, Lambos, AMG Mercs and so on off the lights! (just joking, just joking... )

The shiny slinky grey. Still easy to keep looking cleanish, but far easier to find in the car park!

It is the 1.9TDi 100. Not a VRS on account of the boot being too small on them (well, too small for me). It was really down to an Octavia hatch or a Fabia estate, and while the Octavia seemed very nice indeed, the Fabia just grabbed me a bit more.
