Well after driving a couple of the works cars yesterday I cant help but think that my gear linkage has become a bit tired on my 2007 octavia, she's on 125,000 miles now and I'd like to tighten up the gear changes a little bit.

what are my options, I've not had a look at the linkage yet but i'm guessing there must be something i can do to stiffen up my knob a bit

Think some folks fit a shortshifter from a TT RS or perhaps a neuspeed one. Makes the shift feel slightly more sporty. Not entirely sure it'll help you with your floppy knob tho! Do they do Viagra for cars?
