when i use my iPod with a mdi cable, every time i start the car it keeps going back to the first song on my iPod. does anybody know how to stop it doing this

My iPod Classic does this too but only sometimes. I *think* the iPod stays on when the car goes off, if it's left long enough for the battery to die it restarts from the first track when u start the car again.

I may be totally wrong but that's the only realistic option I've thought of so far!
